About suicide…
February 15, 2023

There is an increase in suicides, especially among people who are empathetic or highly sensitive.

My belief has always been this is a spiritual struggle more than a mental struggle. Going through my own personal struggles with suicide and working through the death of my partner try suicide it’s been a very long struggle.

Eventually, for me over 20 years of personal and spiritual awakening, I have come to an understanding beyond the general response to death which is a highly traumatic experience especially when it is violent.

I’ve talked about death and grief here on Facebook, in my Facebook group Women Creating Legacies, and in my Blog at House of Emanuel.

There are tons of resources and books out there. 988 is the suicide hotline.

If you have suicidal ideations or considering suicide reach out for help.

If you experience a loved one dying by suicide or any act of violence. Reach out for help. Find a supportive tribe as this could leave you with PTSD if someone you know uses it as a way to control or manipulate you it could be a form of CPTSD.

It can also be less talked about and block you from your ability to trust, feel safe, and build new relationships. When we do not know how to process death we literally keep the emotions of that experience in our energy.

We hold the grief, guilt, regrets, and resentment in our bodies. Not releasing emotions (energy in motion) to process grief is why a lot of people feel a covering emotion….

Anger!

You may need some help processing it’s okay for you to get support, and move on with your life. You have a mission and a purpose for your existence. It’s time.

What sparked this post is a video I saw created by Christina Lopes, DPT, MPH about suicide. It was one of the best explanations I ever heard no matter how many therapists and pastors I sought counsel from only years of exploration led me to my understanding and well, now someone has put it in a 20-minute video!

I have often referred to her as a big part of my spiritual journey.

Are you currently struggling with emotional trauma? Do you have regrets about a loved one’s passing? Do you have your own thoughts of harm or know someone who does?

Drop a blue heart below!

And forgive yourself and get support.

Remember you are never alone!
